![]() The lengthwise or longitudinal warp yarns are held stationary in tension on a frame or loom while the transverse weft (sometimes woof) is drawn through and inserted over and under the warp. ![]() Part 2 works through making joins and angles. Warp and weft are the two basic components used in weaving to turn thread or yarn into fabric. Part 1 lays the foundation with good skills in warping, bubbling, beating, making your header, and learning some basic weaving concepts and terms. Throughout the piece, I imagine Schapiro’s studio, full of color, various materials, and ideas, swirling around in a fantastical way as she moves from medium to medium celebrating the history and artistic viewpoints of women past, present, and future. Warp and Weft: Learning the Structure of Tapestry is a three-part class. I visualized a loom and the act of weaving while composing, where the weft (horizontal axis of the loom) is represented by sections dedicated to gradually developing melodies, and the warp (vertical axis of the loom) depicts the sections identified by strong vertical chords. The form and content of warp & weft is particularly inspired by the art of weaving. Explore our designer modern and abstract custom rug and carpet collections to bring the highest levels of luxury. Schapiro used the term to elevate the significance of women’s crafting in the home which was historically denigrated as “decorative” art compared to predominantly male artists whose pieces were classified as “high” art. Most woven fabrics are made with their outer edges finished in a manner. Inspired by the trailblazing work of artist Miriam Schapiro, warp & weft is a celebration of the creative process and specifically the Schapiro-coined term “femmage.” Femmage, or feminist collage, defines any activity practiced by women using traditional women’s techniques to achieve their art – collage, decoupage, and weaving, just to name a few. Warp refers to the threads that run north-south in fabric, while Weft refers to the threads that run east-west. weaving, lengthwise yarns are called warp crosswise yarns are called weft, or filling.

The appalling driving controls are too unresponsive and frigid to even be considered a challenge as it takes way too many attempts and time to even finish the race let alone in the winning position and quickly wears out and traps the player in a monotonous loop of weariness. The infamous Race sequence is god awful and horribly hamfisted and implemented. Voice acting is also awful but not in a so bad it's good, just quite the opposite. The plot is a generic run-of-the-mill from any mafia/gangster movie that features the predicable "start from nothing, work for a family, become a key figure, there's a rat that betrays the family." yada yada yada that's very non-engaging however it does include an interesting sublot of loyalty. ![]() Lifeless, one dimensional characters and terrible AI are very prominent throughout the game. The game is also very terribly optimised (even running on a PS5) where there are some sections you spend more time watching the game load rather than playing it. These controls are clunky, unresponsive and cumbersome to navigate resulting in many frustrating deaths. The many cons of this game include the atrocious driving and shooting design and utilisation.
